A quick overview
Emily is a freelance writer and editor, covering everything from beauty to health to travel for publications like The Cut, Allure, Healthline, Racked, Fashionista, BuzzFeed and many more. As much as she loves to dive into current interests such as organic wines to drink in Italy or Scandinavian decor, her favorite pieces tend to be essays about friends, family and Huntington’s Disease. In an attempt to spread HD awareness, she’s written multiple articles on what it’s like being at-risk for HD, including a print piece in Women’s Health.
In 2019, she to co-wrote and co-created a fictional version of her decade-long friendship with Julia Karis in the play Codependent. Reviewed as a “crowd-pleaser” filled with “whip-smart dialogue,” the production won Best Comedy at the 2019 Capital Fringe Festival in Washington, D.C. and ran for three sold-out nights in NYC.
