Emily is a freelance writer, and editor, covering everything from beauty to health to home design for publications like Healthline, Racked, Fashionista, BuzzFeed, The Cut, Allure and many more. Her favorite pieces to are first-person essays about friends, family and Huntington’s Disease. In an attempt to spread awareness, she’s written multiple articles on what it’s like being at-risk for HD, including a print essay in Women’s Health.
Emily took this love of first-person storytelling to co-write and co-create the play, Codependent. Reviewed as a “crowd-pleaser” filled with “whip-smart dialogue,” the production won Best Comedy at the 2019 Capital Fringe Festival in Washington, D.C. and ran for three sold-out nights in NYC.
